The North Eastern Car Club is mourning the loss of our respected life member, Alan Fleming, who passed away at his home, aged 74, on January 12.

"Flemo", as he was affectionately known, was a club stalwart, although he was not an active member in his later years.

The Albury Wodonga and Districts Car Club will hold a khanacross / lap dash at the Mt Beauty Speedway (near Tawonga) on Sunday, February 26.

Competitors will get four to five runs on the day, with each run consisting of a standing and two flying laps.

Rod Shaw and his mighty Mini took out the NECC's khanacross held at Carboor on November 20.

Rod had a day-long battle with Jay Whittaker in his recently purchased Subaru WRX, with only a couple of penalties late in the day costing Jay victory. After taking a couple of runs to get used to the new handling of the WRX, he really came to grips with the car towards the end of the day.

The North Eastern Car Club held a successful motorkhana at the Tarrawingee clubrooms on Sunday, October 23, with 19 competitors raising the dust in a great day of competition.
