Allan Moffat returns to Tarrawingee, 50 years on |

Motor racing living legend, Allan Moffat, was reduced to tears at the enormity of a re-enactment of his first motor race in Australia on Sunday, April 15.
More than 500 people turned out to see the four-time Bathurst 1000 winner and four-time Australian Touring Car champion revisit the now disused Tarrawingee race circuit near Wangaratta (Vic), exactly 50 years to the day since he raced a Triumph TR3A there.

Fifty years to the day since he contested his first motor race in Australia, legendary motor racing hero, Allan Moffat, will return to the Tarrawingee race track this Sunday in a special celebration hosted by Wangaratta’s North Eastern Car Club.

The NECC will hold a family progressive dinner on Saturday, February 25th. Those attending are asked to meet at King George Gardens in Wangaratta at 6pm for nibbles and further instructions.
